Anand Aghori Maharaj, widely known as Aghori Maharaj, was born in the serene village of Moncompu in the Kuttanad region of Alappuzha district, Kerala. Alappuzha, celebrated as the “Rice Bowl of Kerala,” is internationally renowned for its enchanting beauty and stunning backwaters, earning it the title “Venice of the East.”
Maharaj now resides in his ashram, Anand Dham, nestled in his home village. Following the directive of his revered Guru, he remains in Moncompu to fulfill his dharma and duties in Kerala. At the heart of Anand Dham lies the Sri Anant Vaidyanath Mahadev Shivalinga Prathishta Kshetram, a sacred center for spiritual practices and a sanctuary for aspirants and devotees alike.
